Wild Rose Go-Getters held a meeting in Hope Pointe Community Church in Olds on June 9.  They have 8 members enrolled.  The Branch took the Handicraft points award at the Provincial Convention. They are having a picnic on July 17 at Olds Centennial Park.  For fund raising they will have a bake table at the Gun and Antique Show Aug. 10 and 11.  then a raffle for a wall hanging and a dinner for two at a local restaurant. A Bench Show and Silent Auction are planned for Sept. 14.  They also welcomed a new member.

Darwell started their meeting with a joke or poem for roll call and a donation for the Thrift Shop and Tender Hearts.  They will visit the Pioneer Museum in Stony Plain, participate in the Darwell Ag Fair and have a summer outing.  Sounds like a lot of fun.They have 5 members and volunteered 306 hours.  President Cathleen in a member of this branch.

 

Ridgewood had a speaker about Youth HQ in Red Deer. They had a plant exchange.  They are making blankets for the new Hospice center.  66 volunteer hours. 7 members

Hogadone had their 70th Anniversary celebration on June 1.  Several members attended the District 5 Conference and the Provincial Convention.  They entered many handicraft items. In August they will provide a lunch at the Elnora Bullarama. They have 6 members. 170 volunteer hours for May.

Valhalla Busy Bees had a successful Genealogy workshop.  They have drop in crafts every Friday afternoon .  They will have a speaker about head injuries and an evening with a county councilor  They will have a table at a garage sale. 87 volunteer hours in May.

Round Hill Branch are good at visiting members who are convalescing.  They will celebrate Annie Bannacks 95th birthday on July 11 at Rose Alta Lodge.  They had a speaker form Camrose Open Door, a facility that offers support and guidance  to homeless youth age 11 ti 24,  275 volunteer hours 18 members, 11 in attendance at the meeting.

Echo Hill by Westlock made special bags for the Hope Center in Westlock for their roll call.  They are getting a sign to show where Echo Hill was.  it was a post office in the country.  They have 8 members who did 92 hours of volunteer labour.
